Another horse gets stuck in the mud
Fire-fighters were called to the aid of a horse this morning after it had managed to get itself stuck in the mud in Little Marlow on Friday. The horse was freed and reunited with is foal, after the horse had strayed into a ditch and had managed to completely immobilise itself.
Fire crews reported how both foal and mother were distressed during the incident, but after freeing the horse using a line the pair was reunited.
Fraiser Pearson of Buckingham Fire and Rescue said: "We don't know how it got stuck in the ditch but the poor horse's hooves were wedged in the mud and she just couldn't move. Her foal was also nearby, nervously watching - they were both quite distressed." The owners and the RSPCA were both notified and after a check up the horse was released with no injuries sustained.
