Another horse owner subject to theft
A horse owner that takes in and looks after previously mistreated horses has had £3,000 worth of blankets stolen from the horses back from his field in Saltbox Hill, Biggin Hill. At the time of the theft there where 10 horses in the field each wearing 3 coats each to protect them from the harsh weather, every coat was eventually stolen leaving the horses cold and shaken.
Micheal Innes, owner of the horses said: "The weather was awful so all the horses were left shivering in the rain. I just went into panic mode because I had to try and dry them up and then get back home to get some lightweight blankets to keep the rain off them. I really felt physically sick and I think it is disgusting."
Mr Innes is now worried that if he were to now replace the coats that he may be subject to another robbery, with his horses being in a fragile state they are in may not be able to cope.
