Barn fire claims two horses
Fire services from Central Scotland were called out last night after two storage barns were found alight at Boquhan Farm. The blaze took a total of 35 fire fighters, 5 fire engines over a period of eight and a half hours to extinguish the flames. Several fire services from the area were called out in order to tackle the fatal flames.
The fire left the barns completely destroyed, including taking the lives of two horses that were trapped inside at the time. A spokesman from the fire service said that they did manage to rescue one of the horses, but unfortunately they could not save the others.
An investigation has been launched to uncover the source of the blaze.
