Endurance GB Northumberland and Tyneside Group Hexhamshire Trophy Ride
Entries for the Northumberland and Tyneside Endurance GB group’s Hexhamshire Trophy ride are now being accepted. It is being held on 3rd August and is one of the major endurance events in the north. Some well-known names from within the sport have already entered from as far afield as Somerset.
The lower distances, in particular the 21km (13 mile) Pleasure Ride class are also open to non-members and are suitable for all shapes and sizes of horse and rider. Riders who would like to sample what has been described as ‘the most horse friendly of equestrian sports over some of the best riding terrain’ with minimal road work should contact the organisers.
The competitive classes of this event are eligible for the Northumberland & Tyneside Group ‘4 for the North’ COTTEE and BEDMAX Trophies. This event is also hosting the 2008 Hadrian Challenge which includes teams with a member rider / horse at every level.
All EGB group’s rides are organised by experienced personnel, with checkpoint marshals and well marked courses as well as support from Raynet communications and Emergency Paramedic Services.
Information about this ride and other forthcoming events will be on the Endurance GB Northumberland
