Frightened horse tries to escape field
Fire fighters in Solihull had to attend to a distressed horse on Monday September 21, which was trapped between a pile of wood and a fence after being spooked and fleeing for safety.
The horse was in a field amongst 30 other horses, when it appears that the horse was frightened causing it to run off and get caught between a 10ft high pile of fire wood and a fence. The horse then tried to struggle on through the branches cutting its legs and getting them caught.
The fire fighters were called to Low Brook Farm at 8pm, where they moved each branch to try and free the horse. After moving a substantial amount of wood the horse was then able to run free; the farmer was able to put a rein around the animal so that it could be reunited with the other horses.
