Horse gets stuck in the mud
A horse had to be rescued from a muddy ditch on Friday after it became trapped in the sticky mud.
The horse, from Willow Farm in Clutton Somerset had become stuck in the mud, leading the animal to panic, but the more it struggled the more entrapped it became. The owners contacted the Avon Fire and Rescue Service who strapped up the horse and lifted him out.
A vet from the local veterinary clinic supervised the freeing of the exhausted horse, however within minutes of it being lifted from the ditch it was galloping around the field as though it had never been in any distress.
