Saddle up for the Bra Back Ride!
August 2008 sees the launch of a new event to raise funds for Breast Cancer Campaign - the Bra Back Ride. Women of all ages are invited to mount up and gallop across Salisbury Plain for either 8 or 14 miles, in their bra!
Sports bra company, LessBounce.com, are behind the initiative, building on the success of Pink Aerobics which to date has raised over £300K for breast cancer charities.
International three-day event rider, Julie Tew is supporting the Bra Back ride, ‘I think most of us can reach out and touch a family member, friend, or acquaintance to find someone who has been either directly, or indirectly affected by breast cancer. Breast Cancer Campaign is the only charity that specialises in funding independent breast cancer research throughout the UK, and it is a charity that I am more than happy to endorse in any way I can. In August a group of dedicated and committed women, of all ages, shapes and sizes will be riding across Salisbury Plain wearing their bras and raising funds for breast cancer research. LessBounce.com, the sports bra company and one of my sponsors are behind the idea, and have always been at the forefront of encouraging and explaining to women of all ages the importance of wearing a well fitted and supported bra.’
This year's event jumps off from Tilshead, between 10am and 1pm on Sunday 17th August, in conjunction with Wiltshire Bridleways Sponsored Ride. Limited spaces available so to book your place or for more information just call Rachel on 01980 671305 or email info@lessbounce.com
