Send your horse on a luxury spa break
A spa for horses is currently under consideration, giving horses that are sick, injured and in the need of some pampering a taste of heaven.
The luxury spa and solarium is being proposed by Higher Woodhead Farm in Willowbank, Sunnyhurst. It will cost them in the region of £30,000 but should potentially bring more custom to their current livery yard. If the planning approvals are given to the couple, who own six horses of their own, this will be the second facility of its kind in East Lancashire.
Only using spring water and added minerals, the Jacuzzi like spa will help horses recover from pain and injuries as well as providing them with pleasure. There will also be a Solarium next to the large metal Jacuzzi which will use large heat lamps, again this is helpful to the horses wellbeing, as well as their fertility so anyone that is looking to mate their horse, or produce a stud the spa could potentially be very worthwhile.
