Spirit of Badminton Photo Wall 2008
The Spirit of Badminton Photo Wall is made up of photos taken at Badminton Horse Trials by members of the public. It was launched in 2007 when 300 entries were received and these have been used to create the first 10 metres of the Photo Wall. Now organisers are hoping to double the length of the Photo Wall with even more entries in 2008. The organisers are not only looking for photos of horses and riders but also pictures of dogs, mud, picnics, spectators and trade stands – any image that shows the ‘Spirit of Badminton’. Images of Badminton from previous years are welcome too – photos must have been taken at the Horse Trials since the first event 58 years ago.
The judges will be looking for the photo that best depicts in their opinion the ‘Spirit of Badminton’. The winner in 2007 was a photo entitled ‘Picnic in the Mud!’ which was taken at the 2004 event. Entries must be received by Wednesday 5th March 2008. Entries can only be considered if received either on CD or in hard-copy print and must be sent by post (not email) to: Badminton ‘photo wall’ Press Office Mitsubishi Motors UK Watermoor Cirencester Glos GL7 1LF.
Please ensure your name and address and the full details of the pictures, where known (e.g. date, photographer, subject names etc) are attached to your entries. All photos will be returned providing an SAE is enclosed. Not all entries received are guaranteed to be used in the wall – this will depend on number and quality of entries.
