The Chelsea Pageant
On 7th and 8th June 2008 the Royal Hospital Chelsea, the home of the Chelsea Pensioners, will stage The Chelsea Pageant.
The Pageant will celebrate the history of the Royal Hospital Chelsea and will feature soldiers and horses from the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment. The event will be the first Pageant held in the grounds of the Royal Hospital for 100 years.
This major outdoor event will open London’s Summer Season with a spectacular show which will include live music, soldiers, horses, gunfire and fireworks. Among those attending the celebrations are Dame Judi Dench, Rory Bremner, Joanna Lumley, Timothy Spall and Michael Portillo.
