The Exmoor Golden Horseshoe Ride
Entries have opened for the Exmoor Golden Horseshoe Ride which is due to take place on 11th to 13th May 2008. The Golden Horseshoe Ride is one of the UK's toughest endurance events with riders covering 160k (100miles) of demanding Exmoor terrain over two days. There will also be three other rides over the three days of varying distances as well as a sponsored ride.
The four classes are:- •The Golden Horseshoe - 160K (100 miles) over two days, 50 miles on each day •The Exmoor Stag - 120K (75 miles) over two days, 50 miles on day one and 25 miles on day two •The Exmoor Experience - 80K (50 miles) over two days, 25 miles on each day •The Exmoor 80 - 80K (50 miles) in one day.
There will also be a sponsored ride offering two routes and donating to two different charities. Proceeds from the 10 mile ride will be donated to the Moorland Mousie Trust and money raised from the 16 mile route will be given to the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.
In addition to the Rides there will also be Trade Stands plus displays and demonstrations. These will include a Parade of Black Arabians from Court Farm Stud and a Dog Agility Display.
