Three horses struck in the past week in Kent

Three horses have been hit by cars in Kent in the past week, the first was struck on Wednesday after a group of horses where reported to be loose along the A28 near Ashford. At this time it is not thought that this horse was connected to the horses reported to the police but further investigation will reveal what happened.

The second pair of horses where hit on Saturday at Ninn Lane, Great chart where one horse died and the other was injured, the rider of the horse also received injuries.

Kent police have issued warnings to all drivers across the county warning them to drive slowly and not to alert the animals. It is recommended that when passing the animals you give them a wide berth in order not to cause any distress.
