Tractor mayhem at Burghley Trials
The Burghley Horse Trials suffered a tractor calamity last week when a driver fell from the vehicle leaving it to roll into the site's car park on Sunday 6 September.
The tractor ploughed head long into two vehicles as visitors panicked and ran to escape the rolling tractor and the collision of the vehicles caused thousands of pounds worth of car damage.
Organisers suspect that the tractor had been left with the brakes off after the driver fell form the vehicles. The tractor had been used to rebuild a broken fence on the site.
Although the collision was a shocking site for many visitors as the ran to clear its path, no animals or riders was affected by the crash however the horse trails and in particular Zara Phillips', the Queen's Grand-daughter and GB Olympic hopeful, own ride was delayed due to the tractor carnage.
