Two horse deaths in one week
A field in Little Marlow, Bucks, is being blamed as the cause of death of two horses in the past week; one was a five month old foul.
The field, which has been described by the RSPCA as 'hazardous', has been the home to nine horses since September. They animals belong to an un-named man, who has been in contact with the RSPCA since they spotted the poor, unwell horses some time ago. He has advised that he is checking up on the horses on a regular basis and will move the last seven as soon as possible.
The first horse died a week ago from sudden medical complications; the death of the foul is currently unknown as the RSPCA are currently carrying out a post-mortem. Until they can establish that both deaths were caused by the unsavoury living conditions of the field there isn't anything that they can do.
Locals are very upset by the news; they have been providing the horses with water on a regular basis and do not think that the field is suitable for the animals.
