When you are in the process of requesting your horse trailer insurance you'll be able to specify the sum you want insured for your horse trailer. This cover will then be reflected in the quote you obtain for your horse insurance policy. You'll need to check the significant exclusions in the policy though, as cover for theft of the trailer may be excluded unless a wheel clamp (or another appropriate immobilising device) is fitted when the trailer is not in use or unattended. The excess payable will either be £100 or 10% (whichever is the greater, with Towergate) or £150 with Amtrust Europe, but in either case you'll have the peace of mind that comes with knowing your horse trailer insurance is in place.
