Horse insurance - coverage
We offer two classes of horse insurance that instant cover can be attained; Class A coverage for general use and unaffiliated competitions. And Class B for registered competition, hunting and working horses, as well as Class A coverage. The full list of both can be seen below:
Class A covers:
- Hacking
- Dressage
- Gymkhanas
- Pony club (Excluding racing)
- Riding club
- BHSLe Trec
- Non-thoroughbred broodmares
- Stallions at stud
- Unaffiliated novice and intermediate show jumping
- Novice hunter trials
- Driving (excluding cross country and trials)
- Showing in hand or under saddle
- Foals over 30 days old
- Heavy horses (not working)
Class B cover (including Class A coverage):
- Hunting
- Pony club racing
- Unaffiliated open show jumping
- Show jumping under BSJA rules
- Open hunter trials
- BE affiliated eventing (up to and including intermediate)
- Combined training
- Long distance riding
- Vaulting
- Driving (including cross country/trials)
- Heavy horses (working)
We also offer horse insurance on a referral basis for the following uses; point to point, team chasing, polo, polo Crosse, horseball and BE affiliated advanced events. This coverage also includes uses covered in both class A and B.
