Own loan or share
If you like the idea of having a horse but are put off by the financial costs involved then there are a couple of options open to you. Taking a horse on loan for a set period allows you to have the full responsibility of looking after it without the need to find the purchase price, although the other costs that are inherent in taking care of a horse will be expected of you.
Another method is to share a horse with an owner, so that the daily responsibilities can be shared, this is useful to assess the amount of dedication necessary in looking after a horse. This can also benefit the horse if the owner has the money but not necessarily the time to care for the animal as much as they should.
