Horse stabling
Unless you happen to have a couple of acres going spare in your back garden then the need to find a good livery stable will be quite important for the housing of your horse. Horses are adapted to living outside but having stabling available so that the horse can be brought in at night and during periods of bad weather when they would naturally require and seek shelter. Allowing your horse the opportunity of the freedom to run around an open field will give it some exercise and interaction with other horses, as long as the field has sturdy fencing to contain them for their own and others safety.
Horses are by nature grazing animals and can consume up to 2.5 per cent of their body weight a day from pasture and/or hay, with some supplementation from concentrated dry feeds such as grain used as an addition.
