Horse tracking involves a micro chip which is planted under the skin. The chip is the size of a grain of rice and has a unique number that is registered with horse’s details on a central register and on the horse’s passport. This can be scanned which will read and display the number so that the horse can be identified and matched to its passport in the event of a lost or stolen horse.
